10th YEAR – A Great Event

The official count for this year was 764 people from across the country including Texas, Ohio. Washington, Florida, Alabama, New York, and all across the South East.  THANK YOU ALL FOR coming and thank you to allllllll the helpers!!!!

For our 10th year together, we sang some of our favorite songs.  Here is a list of your top 20 songs you voted on, and I believe we sang of them this year:

FEEDBACK

  • Overall the feedback was very positive of the entire event.
  • Everyone seemed to really like the new venue (a few still want better acoustics – including myself:)
  • Several asked for less talking, and more singing – I hear ya, and we’ll do next year!
  • The trend seemed to indicate that most liked the mix of old/new songs, but more this year asked for more older songs.  Next year we’ll do a better job of including some “good ol songs” that everyone knows

DONATIONS

  • Donations this year totaled $9,140 – woo-hoo!!!   Thanks for all the kind and generous donations!
  • Expenses this year totaled $11,896
  • Defecit 0f $2,756

CD & VIDEO RECORDING

  • We will be taking orders on this web site soon (set up by Monday November 15th)
  • See facebook for many photos and video recordings

CATERED DINNER

  • My apologies for not explaining the catered dinner very well to the attendees.  The Carolina FC Boosters paid for half of the catered dinner (that is why is was only $6)
  • In exchange for paying for half of our dinner, they took 20 minutes for a short presentation on the school
  • Next year we’ll do a better job of explaining this

THANKS EVERYONE!!!!!!  We hope to see all of you and a few friends next year.

    Thank you Jeff for bringing this together! This was the first time to attend the singing for Roger and me and we both enjoyed it very much. The singing gave me chills and when we sang “Exalted” I cried. Looking forward to next year!
