Dr. K. Zhang holds a PhD in Medicine from Fujian Medical University and a Master of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (MAOM) in Chinese acupuncture from the New England School of Acupuncture (NESA), MCPHS. He is certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM), and is licensed by the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Medicine. He is a registered Public Nutritionist in China. He was a research fellow at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School. He treats a variety of diseases such as pain, arthritis, fertility, high FSH, poor ovarian reserve, support to IVF/IUI, irregular or painful periods, stroke, allergies, depression, stress, anxiety, insomnia, asthma, high blood pressure, impotence, erectile dysfunction, etc. Dr. Zhang has published papers in “Neuroscience”, “Circulation”, “Autism”, etc.

Dr. Zhang graduated from Fujian University of TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) in 1990 and China Academy of TCM in 1996. He then became a postdoc fellow at Beijing University Medical Center. In 1999, He became a postdoc fellow at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH), Harvard Medical School. He earned Dipl. Acupuncture by NCCAOM, and was licensed (Acupuncture) by Massachusetts Board of Registration in Medicine in 2000. He worked for about 10 years at MGH, Harvard Medical School. He worked on several research projects including two NIH clinical trials to test the effect of acupuncture at MGH. He has rich experience in treating a wide variety of health conditions.
Dr. Zhang gave seminars about Acupuncture/Chinese medicine for medical practitioners at numerous institutions and organizations, including Harvard Medical School, Massachusetts General Hospital, Newton-Wellesley Hospital, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, New England Medical Center, Chinese University of Hong Kong, Beijing University of Chinese Medicine, RMIT, World Federation of Chinese Medicine Societies and so on.
