Comments: I am very happy to see that the new generation of AGE folks are
doing fine and keeping the AGE spirit alive. This site is just outstanding.
It makes me proud to have spent 33 years in the AGE career field.
Assignments: Most of my assignments during my 33 years (1956-1989)in the Air
Force
were in the Far East. A tolal of 10 years, 3 assignments, at CAB in the
Philippines, 4 years in Vietnam, 3 years in Thailand, 18 months in Taiwan,
18 months in Okinawa.
I did have one long assignment in the States, at Chanute AFB (1960-1964) as
an
instructer in the Basic AGE Course.
I finally retired (31 Dec 1989) as the 3rd EMS AGE Branch Chief at Clark Air
Base, Philippines and stayed right here in the good old PI.

Comments: Did I ever luck out! An old Ammo troop (bomb loader) who knew how
to spell MJ-1, and got a job as an AGE Branch Chief. I became an AGE Ranger
in '85, 57 EMS, Nellis AFB, until moving up to EMS supervision in '87. AGE
was one of the best jobs I ever had! Good people & lots of action -
never a dull moment! Finally retired Feb 88, flew tourists around the Grand
Canyon for 6 years, now working for the Postal Service. Can't wait to retire
again! Looking forward to hearing from anyone out there that I served with.
