The soothing touch of a Redlands Chiropractic doctor
A Trusted Healthcare Partner
Our Redlands chiropractic specialists care about you, your health, and what’s best for you and your family.

At Advanced Chiropractic, we understand you want to get out of pain as quickly as possible.  Because of that, we employ many different methods to deal with your pain, in order to hasten the healing process.  Our methods include, but are not limited to:

Chiropractic Adjustments
Founded on the principle that a joint which has restricted movement will cause pain, the chiropractic adjustment is a proven method for returning the joint complex to normal functioning.  However, this is usually only half the problem.

Trigger-Point Therapy
When a joint becomes "stuck", the surrounding musculature always compensates to stabilize the joint complex.  This translates to achy muscles and joints that cause you to feel more "tight" than usual.

If this is not taken care of when you get your adjustment, your tight muscles will cause your joints to become misaligned again relatively quickly.  Couple this with the fact that a large number of musculoskeletal complaints comes from muscles impinging on nerves (i.e. scalenes on brachial plexus causing tingling down arm, or piriformis pressing down on the sciatic nerve causing pain/numbness/tingling down the back of your leg); it is easy to see why this is such an important element to your health goals.

Acupressure Treatment
Unlike trigger point work, which seeks to bring normal function back to a muscle, acupressure treatment is designed to re-balance your energy "meridians" by focusing pressure on specific sites or blockages.

While this might not be directly responsible for your pain, we believe this will greatly benefit your overall well-being and energy levels.

Physical Therapy/Exercise
For some strange reason, most medical professionals will put this stage of treatment right at the beginning of your treatment course.  However, trying to strengthen a tight, torn, or improperly functioning muscle is really not the way to go.

Ideally, PT should come at the end of your treatment to reinforce new, better habits and keep you from having the same problems in the future.  At Advanced Chiropractic, we treat you for the problems that you have now; but are also looking to prevent problems you might have in the future.

Exercise and treatment goals will be individually tailored to you.  Whether you want to just be out of pain and learn ways to minimize the chances of it reoccurring, or whether you are entered in a triathlon next week and need to be in top physical condition, we will develop a program to meet all of your healthcare goals.
