Hello! Today I made my first vlog too... :) Looking forward to reading more of your spiritual vlogs!

Yeah, I wonder about the guy behind you... I saw him in one of ABC's vlogs also. Could be your father of your father-in-law?

:)

Hello... Congrats on your first VLOG... I am very interested in spiritual discussions... I left this same comment as follows on Risa's vlog... I read “The Secret” and I was not all that impressed. Several reasons are that I feel that the book did not face reality. Yes, I believe in the power of positive thinking, however, I more believe in facing reality. Would this book help those suffering in Darfar, those who are in the midst of daily killings in Iraq, etc… What about those starving and have not one cent to their name? The homeless, the terminally ill, those suffering with AIDS are to name a few. The book put so much attention on materalism. Hello! It’s not things and money that buy happiness. Its being thankful for what you have and who are are today. One other thing that really turned me off about this book is that they call Jesus a prophet. If you are knowledgeable of the bible and a true Christian, you will know that Jesus is not a prophet but that He is the living God that came to Earth and died for our sins only to be resurrected and alive again. I believe if you are a christian, you would want to be careful of what you read. I understand not everyone here may proclaim themselves as a christian but as of a different religion, and that is their right. As a christian myself, it is not a religion. It is a way of life, a relationship with Christ for I have no religion. Religion to me is being a part of an organization, following their man-made rules and that was not God’s intention for us at all. Back to the point here, I wanted to say that I would be careful in being suckered into “The Secret” because once anything is a HOT MARKET and on Oprah show, it’s just a fake gimmick, just out to get your money. The true wisdom is free found in the bible. Thanks.

Jill,

You are a bright, shining star! You and John both look so happy in the vlog clip. :) What a fun-loving couple you present to the world! It's also nice to see you carving out your own niche. I look forward to watching/reading you.

I'm so glad to find another kindred spirit! They keep popping up all over now! If you haven't visited my blog/vlog at www.earofmyheart.com, I invite you to do so. The tone of my blog/vlog posts tend to be more spiritual. I enjoy speaking from the heart and searching for deeper meaning of my daily experiences as a deaf person.

Also, if you haven't visited yet, you might want to pop over to Ocean's blog at www.deafpagan.com. She also addresses many spiritual topics. You don't need to be Pagan to enjoy her writings. Very fun stuff to read. It's one of my favorites. :)

I'm currently reading the book "The Secret" and I'm enjoying it very much! I was so tickled to see Risa's first vlog about the book knowing it's sitting on my nightstand table near my bed! Talk about synchronicity!

Funny - I had just read about the "Law of Attraction" and was saying to myself, "Wow! I can't wait to find out who else is reading this book so I can talk to them about it!" Then, boom! Risa's vlog pops up a couple days ago! Today, I had lunch with my friends Julie and Linda, and Julie brought up the DVD and book there too! Now your vlog also mentions the book! Perfect example of the "Law of Attraction" in action!! :) Whta thoughts you put out there in the world attract to back you! Basically the book is giving everyone a good reason to think good thoughts!!! That's the power of positive thinking!

I haven't seen the DVD yet though, and like IAmMine, I'm very anxious to get it and compare it to the book!

I look forward to more heartfelt sharing with you.

Hugs!

Congrats! and look forward in "hearing you" talk about spiritual stuff. I see that your name has Reverend, what religion do you work with, I am just curious.

WOW, neither John nor you have changed a bit...only older and better! Great to see you doing your own vlogs on spirituality. There is an enlightenment that goes with being Deaf, and not all Deaf people avail themselves of this enlightenment. Your vlogs, I trust, will bring them because spirituality comes from seeing the world from the perspective of yours.
Thank you so very much for taking up your courage to outcompete John! Pushing him aside is a good start! LOL!

WoW, You are brightening our day! Really good to see a face full of high energy and enthusasium, Jill! Am looking forward to seeing more of yours. A combination of you once in a while would be equally wonderful and funny. We need more bright people of the Generation XI like you, Sharon, Candace, Risa, Aidan! I must agree with Maria that we need more discussions about issues that need to be addressed now, not tomorrow (see her note above mine).

Hi Jill

I am posting this again since my first comment from this morning didnt go through.

Welcome, Jill! I was happy to finally meet you last October in DC.

Jay, I like your humor. It brings me to ask what people's perceptions on spirituality are. what makes a person spiritual? Can an atheist be spiritual?

Jill, maybe you can do a vlog sharing your definition of spirituality. Look forward to some interesting discussions ahead.

Thank you, commenters, for sharing your thoughts.

Each of us is perfect wherever we are on our spiritual paths. I honor your path.

Paths may be many and there is only one Truth. One God. One Law of Love. For the Law of Love is already written in our hearts. Many paths lead to One God for all religions are like stepping-stones leading back to God.

We are being blessed by every beneficent thought of any of our brothers and sisters anywhere. We should want to bless them in return, out of gratitude.

With respect, understanding and open mindedness, we act upon the Law of Love. We are all ONE for we are brothers and sisters regardless of our differences in religions, beliefs, races, disabilities, sexes, ages, etc… We are not our bodies. We are Spiritual Beings having human experience. We are all holy children of God (of all the different names we may know God, Allah, Jehovah, etc.) We are worthy channels of His beautiful joy. And to love/forgive our brothers and sisters is how we know God.

That is the Spirit of Life.

We may lead different lives and have different beliefs. We can choose to see through our differences by means of forgiveness and know that only love is real.

In hatred and judgment, we divide among ourselves. We think in terms of righteousness and judge others. We turn against each other and do not know one another. How may we know God if we are against each other? This is truly a call for love, a call for healing.

Love is true forgiveness that sees right through you. Forgiveness sees no differences. It is when we look at how much we are alike that our differences disappear.

Forgiveness is a healing miracle that occurs naturally as expressions of love. The miracle is a maximal service we can render to one another. It is a way of loving your neighbor as yourself. It is impossible for a child of God to love his neighbor and not himself.

Forgiveness is a gift given us to remember God’s complete joy and love. It leads us back to Christ thinking or right-minded thinking and creates miracles for healing purposes which bring harmony and peace.

May you go about your way with loving thoughts, peaceful words and smiles on your faces! May you bring blessings to all you meet on b/vlogsphere! May you know your brothers/sisters as you know yourself.

May I know you as my brother/sister so that I may know God.

Peace, my friend.
Blessed be!
