Claiming Dog Behaviour Fees From Your Pet Insurance Company

Is your dog insured? You may be able to claim my dog behaviour fees via your pet insurance. Many insurers cover the cost of dog behaviour consultations. In most instances your insurer will pay all of my fees less your excess, please contact your insurance provider in advance of booking a consultation to check the details of cover, and or exceptions within your specific policy type.

Being a full member of the Canine and Feline Behaviour Association UK enables me to work through your insurer. My standing with the CFBA tells your insurer that I work to a high professional standard that is recognised by your insurer. Click on the link below that relates to your insurer. This is not a complete list of companies that may cover you for canine behaviour modification but should cover the vast majority.

Petplan insurance is the company most commonly used for behavioural modification. I am the pet behaviourist for Petplan UK.

* I am proud to be the pet behaviourist for Petplan, carrying out regular Facebook live behaviour Q&A's along with dog training and dog behaviour videos.

Petplan Claim Form - Pet Insurance That Covers Behavioural Therapy.

You can download the relevant Petplan Claim Form here.

Please complete the form below and I will respond and explain the procedure of how to claim my fees from your pet insurer free from obligation. Your insurer will ask you to gain a referral to me from your vet. This can be done by clicking on the red icon on the left-hand side of your screen to download a convenient vet referral form that you can download and print for your vet to complete, hold on to this for when I see you, as it goes to your insurer, not me.

If the referring vet wishes to remain up to date, a copy of the report will be sent for his/her records. I will help you fill in (and correctly stamp) your paperwork on my visit.

The Canine and Feline Behaviour Association (CFBA) is accepted by pet insurance companies that cover behaviour problems on their policies and meet their criteria for excellence in the field. Nick Jones MA is an Accredited Member of the CFBA and as such, your pet insurance policy may assist with costs. Each insurance company will have its own criteria of what it deems a behaviour problem, which the client can discuss with their insurance company prior to booking an appointment. Canine behaviour problems are defined by each individual company. Dog training is not a part of pet insurance cover.
