On October 29, 2014, Managing Partner and Co-Founder of Access Doug McDonald, participated in the panel presentation “Scary Lending Stories” for the Denver RMA chapter luncheon. Joining Doug, was Thad Allen, Chief Credit Officer of Zions Bank and Tennyson Grebenar, Partner at the law firm of Lewis Roca Rothgerber. The presentation and luncheon were sponsored by Access and were coordinated by the Rocky Mountain Chapter of the RMA, along with the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City, Denver Branch.

Gardner, Principal of Nabe, Gardner Economics, who also chairs the Board of Trustees at the Washington Center for Real Estate Research.

Access has co-sponsored this event for the past 4 years. The golf outing benefits the San Francisco and Marin Food Bank and raises over $50,000 annually and has raised over $375,000 in contributions for the Food Bank for the past 17 years. Tom Cleveland, Co-Founder and Managing Partner attends the event annually.

- Why traditional banks are limited in how they can help manufacturers;
- The basics of alternative financing from non-regulated institutions;
- Understanding the true cost of alternative financing;
- How alternative financing can be used as a growth tool; and
- Numerous manufacturing-related lending examples.

Tom Cleveland, Co-founder and Managing Partner of Access Business Finance spoke at the CAMPS North Round Table. His topic was Capital Alternatives for Growth or Liquidity. For many manufacturers, Asset-Based Lending have negative connotation. The talk demonstrated how both financing options have the potential to be high-value tools for accessing the capital needed for either growth of liquidity.
