ASSOCIATION OF COMMUNITY PROFESSIONALS (ACP)
October 29, 2009
Awards Luncheon
Grand Island, NE
PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS A DRAFT.

I. Introduction/Welcome:

President Bruce Cudly called the meeting to order. Bruce welcomed all the conference attendees to the Annual Fall Conference of the ACP and hoped they all were enjoying the speaker and conference amenities.

II. Meeting Minutes:

The meeting minutes from the October 30, 2008 General Membership meeting were put on the table and reviewed. There was a motion to accept the minutes into the record, seconded and a majority vote to approve.

III. Treasurer Report:

"Life is good" was the message concerning ACP funds as of the Spring Conference: we had 175 people attend in Lincoln and 95 in North Platte for Tom Pomeranz. These were very successful. Our CD balance and checking balance add up to $20,867.32. Jackie Bauersachs made a motion to accept the Treasurer's report. It was seconded and a majority vote was made to approve acceptance.

IV. Committee Reports:

1. Conference Committee:

Jackie welcomed everyone to the conference. She thanked all that assisted her with the conference details - Cheryl Montgomery and Jackie Six. We also will have a short board meeting at the end of the day at approximately 4:30 p.m., so all board members should make arrangements.

2. Legislative Committee - Renee Ferdinand:

Our state legislature had some very difficult budget decisions this past year. Due to the economy, we are not solid on what will be or won't be in the final budget or if the Special Session or next year's session will cut budgets. We encourage all to send your ideas/feelings, etc. to your state senator or to the governor via the web site that is listed on your tables. The Special Session starts on November 4th, so please do this soon. So far, we have a positive outcome from the legislature on the waiting list, rate increases, rate methodology, etc. Colby Coasch, also an ACP board member and state senator, has been added to the legislative BSDC oversight committee. Congratulations to Colby.

3. By-Laws Committee:

No report.

4. Finance Committee:
