A Constructed Life

About

I started this blog in 2006, shortly after my husband, Joey, and I were married and began gutting our house, which was built in 1913, had crumbling plaster walls, original wiring and one tiny bathroom that someone died in.

We spent 6 years turning into exactly what we wanted…

…and then had two children, Adeline, 4, and Crosby, 2. Until the birth of my daughter, this space was devoted to home remodeling antics, but as kids are known to do, once they arrived, they took over everything. We’ve since sold that house we worked so hard on and are currently living in my grandma’s old place while it gets renovated and we look for a new place to call our own. We can’t escape home renovations or our children. I’ve been a stay-at-home mom since 2011 and work as a freelance writer.

    Hi,

I’ve contacted you in the past regarding a guest article and so this email is just a follow up really.

I work on behalf of Beddard Roofing (beddardroofing.co.uk) and I’ve had an idea for a piece of content that I think will fit in quite well on your site, titled “10 of the world’s most bizarre buildings”. The article would be around 1000 words, and would be my pick of some of the strangest looking buildings throughout the world, as well as some information about each one and a possible meaning behind their bizarre design.

If you like this idea, I can get started on writing it immediately and send it over to you. However, if this particular idea isn’t what you’re currently looking for then I am more than happy to write an article on any suggestions you may have for aconstructedlife.com.

    Many thanks,

    Jennifer
