*- You don't NEED this but this will make it alot more simple to do!

Software Needed-
-- JungleFlasher 1.67B  Download Link- http://jungleflasher.net/files/JungleFlasher.0.1.67.Beta.rar

Average Time To Complete- About 2-3 hours

Difficulty Rating-5/5

Step By Step Tutorial-
Ok first we need to open the 360. This tutorial can be found here- https://www.acidmods.com/forum/index.php/topic,32902.0.html which is supplied by our good friend, Modded Matt.

Next we grab out our DVD drive by unplugging the Sata and Molex power plugs.

Notice the Model and Firmware of the drive.

Then flip over the drive and find the 4 screws holding the Drive together and remove them.

Next unplug all of the zif connectors by sliding them out of place and pulling out the plugs.
**Note : There are 2 screws holding the Board in place removed them **

Now flip the board over and find this spot- (Notice the caps and sticker)

A closer picture of the spot we are going to be doing work on.

Here is a basic diagram of what we have to do-

First we clean up the spots using our carbon pen or if you dont have one, use a razor (BE VERY CAREFUL!)

Next cut the spots shown in the diagram like so-

Now solder the wires on the board like so-

Make sure there is about 1 foot of wire coming off of the purple and black wire!

Now just close up the DVD Drive makeing sure to plug in all of the Zif's and make sure everything looks like it was in the begining.
ALSO, make sure to cover up the solder spots with some electrical tape or something to prevent shorts in the drive. (That is bad.)

Have the Purple and black wire come out of the drive like so-

Now Wire up The GND [Black Wire] to A 22~Ohm Resister than to one of the pin on the Switch and Pin 101 [Purple Wire] to another pin on the Switch like so-

Connect the drive up to the VIA VT6421A chipset card and 360Xtractor Pro v1.2-

Dumping the Lite on DG-16D2S-09C FW Ver:83850C Tutorial

Now that we have our key remove the switch and fix all the cut trace's and put the drive back together.

Nice tutorial. I definitely will be using this.
Just wondering where did you get the pen. I forgot the name. It's used to reveal the copper. Another questions what did you use to cut the traces.

I just tried this today and got completely lost. sorry for my noobness.

Thanks!
I am going to order one asap.

Also is the 83850c flashed the same as the 93450c?
My final question(I promise no more after this) whats the difference between 83850c and 83850c-v2?

yes this will work on all lite on drive and FW ... even the 93450C
don't need it for firmware version 74850c "use spear or the probe to get the key", on some of the 83850C  50/50 "No probe needed".  now some of the 83850C depends on manufacture date can be dump using a diff way " using LO83 & Info Key In Windows or MS DOS  which i show later but its %50/50 chance that it works. if it works great good for you ... and no opening drive needed. if don't that have to do it this way.
V2 have to be dump this way no other way.

Thanks for sharing your knowledge mike. It is greatly appreciated. I kinda knew some of that but you just made the little guys in my head trying to figure this out alot happier.

I am going to be doing two 93450c's tomorrow. Wish me luck

EDIT:

Look what I did lol. I had an extra 74850c lite-on so I took it apart and practiced. Also made a cool little switch w/resistor board.

Just waiting to get my power supply thing from Acidmods shop. The Xtractor I think. I ordered a couple days ago, I am hoping it'll be here soon.

Thanks again for the fantastic tutorial.

Double post: I was reading on X-Box scene a couple minutes ago, and it seems that iExtreme 1.61 has come out for the 93450 drive. It's NOT xbl safe, but if you don't play on live it's no problem.
