Henny Penny

SOLD

Perhaps the title of this painting is a little corny, but what else to title a painting of a chicken?
I had fun painting this 4" x 7" oil (on Ampersand Gessobord). It was a lesson in edges.
As I grew up on a poultry farm in New Zealand, every now and then I must paint a chicken to remind me of my roots.

In New Zealand, a chicken is a baby hen. An adult is called a hen or a chook.

  1. She's a beauty! The eye is very captivating. I wish your enlarge feature made the image even larger.
