Day Meets have been a successful part of our excursions in the last two years and we are planning to continue them over the coming winter and next autumn. If any members want to help organise the day walks in their area please let Paul know. About two weeks before the day meets the venues will be posted on the website.

AGM and Annual Dinner will be on Saturday 3rd February at the Inn on the Lake.
We are delighted to announce our Guest Speaker for the evening is Kate Ross.
The AGM will be at 5:45, followed by a 4 course dinner at 7:30pm. The cost of the meal will be £35.95 per person.
Full details and a booking form for the dinner were sent out with the December newsletter.

Peak District Meet - 3 - 6 May
This meet is held at the Ilam Hall Youth Hostel. This 17th Century gothic manor sits in 84 acres of National Trust parkland, with the beauty of Dovedale just on its doorstep. The beautiful youth hostel is full of character and nestled near the quaint village of Ilam.
There are 8 places available on this meet at £64.13 each. Expressions of interest must be sent to the meet organiser as soon as possible to book your attendance.
This is mainly a walking, cycling and climbing meet.

Crainlarich Meet - 18 - 24 May
This meet is held at the Crainlarich Youth Hostel.
Expressions of interest must be sent to the meet organiser as soon as possible to book your attendance.
This is mainly a walking meet but there are many excellent cycling in the area.

Snowdonia Meet - 7 -9 June
This meet will be at the Oread Hut in Rydd Ddu. There are 17 places available on this meet. There will be a communal meal on the Saturday night.
Expressions of interest must be sent to the meet organiser at least a month in advance of the meet to book your attendance.
This is mainly a walking and climbing meet but there are many excellent mountain biking and cycling routes in the area.

Joint Alpine Camping Meet - mid June to mid July
The meet is based at Ailefroide which has an extensive campsite. It is in a terrific location, surrounded by multi-pitch rock routes and giving access to some classic alpine outings including the traverse of Mont Pelvoux and the Barre.

Alpine Hotel Meet - 4 - 11 July
This meet is held in the attractive village of Grimentz in the Val d’Anniviers, one of the loveliest valleys in the Swiss Alps.

Accommodation has been reserved in the 3* Hotel de Moiry. Grimentz is an excellent centre for walking and climbing, with access to several SAC huts as well as 3000m and 4000m peaks.
As of mid March there is a room for two available, please contact Pam if you want to come along.

Slovakia Trek in early September.
This meet is held in the Slovakian Tatras. There will be the opportunity to undertake some of the challenging hiking routes (including Mount Rysy 2500m) or indulge in some other pursuits such as mountain biking or white water rafting.
The cost of this meet is £660. There are 8 places available on this trek.
If you want to attend the trek please let the Meet Organiser know by 29 February.

Dartmoor Meet 27 - 29 September
This meet will be held at the Plume of Feathers Bunkhouse in Princetown. There are 8 places booked for the meet.
Expressions of interest must be sent to the meet organiser as soon as possible to book your attendance. This is mainly a walking meet but there are many excellent climbing and mountain biking routes in the area.

Brecon Beacons Meet 18 -20 October
This meet will be held at the Star Bunkhouse at Bwlch (directly opposite the New Inn). There is a maximum of 12 places at the accommodation at a cost of £32 per person.
Expressions of interest must be sent to the meet organiser at least a month in advance of the meet to book your attendance. This is mainly a walking meet but there are many excellent mountain biking routes in the area. Lockable bike storage is available.

Presidents meet 1 - 3 November
This meet will be held at the George Starkey hut. There are 25 places available.
There will be a communal meal at the hut on the Saturday evening.
Expressions of interest must be sent to the meet organiser at least a month in advance of the meet to book your attendance.

Joint ABMSAC/AC Twixmas/New Year meet, GSH - December 27 - January 1
Advance booking is essential for members. To book go to the hut website and click on Member Bookings.
Once you have booked please contact Judy Renshaw so that communal meals/activiies can be coordinated.
