Acid Cleaners are weather sensitive Mill Finished Aluminum: On mill finish aluminum the aluminum turns light gray. The more you dilute the cleaner, the less grayish color you will get. This looks much better than the black oxidation on the aluminum. Extruded aluminum: . The aluminum looks brand new. Do not use on polished aluminum (looks like chrome). The only way to bring back polished aluminum is to polish it again. Yes' you can use mild acids to clean it however, once it has dulled, you will need to polish. |
Most all newer pontoons are extruded aluminum and will look brand new after cleaning with this product. On mill finish aluminum, the aluminum turns light gray. The more you dilute the cleaner, the less grayish color you will get. Add more cleaner or dilute more with water to achieve the desired results. However, the only way to clean darkened oxidized mill aluminum is to etch the aluminum. After mill finish aluminum oxidizes, there is no way known to man to bring it back to showroom new again. Our aluminum brightener will clean the oxidation and make the trailer, pontoon or any mill aluminum look 100% better. Polishing will give the mill aluminum a mirror finish. Cleaning with our aluminum brightener first will make polishing a much easier job. You can purchase aluminum polish at any auto parts store.
