Mission:

The mission of Senior Citizens, Inc. is to help people age successfully.

Vision:

The community recognizes and values the population we serve.

Values:

Senior Citizens, Inc. offers essential, desirable, innovative and affordable services to seniors in a respectful and collaborative spirit while being flexible, accessible and responsive.

More than 49 years ago, Senior Citizens, Incorporated of Chatham County was born. How did it all start? Simple. Neighbors helping neighbors. Delivering a home cooked meal, looking in on someone who could'nt get around as easily as they used to, making sure that bills could be paid and no one would go without electricity. While the decades have been technologically enhanced, much of the same neighborly activity that existed 50 years ago is still necessary today. We cook and deliver more than 1,800 meals today - through the help of volunteers. We offer transportation to and from the doctor's office, the pharmacy or the grocery store - through the help of volunteers. We talk, play board games and have really good 'visits' -through the help of volunteers. Some things that work well, stay and age in place.

What we offer......is something for everyone.
