Three youths arrested after trying to steal vehicle from resident’s driveway: South Euclid Police Blotter
Officers responded at 6:56 p.m. March 21 to a report of three youths trying to steal a car from a resident’s driveway. A boy was unable to start the vehicle and began to walk away with two girls, but they started running when they saw officers arriving on scene. After a short foot pursuit, all three boys, ages 12-13, were taken into custody. Two were residents of the city and the third was a Lyndhurst resident.
Woman suffers over $100,000 loss believing she was winner of Publisher’s Clearing House Sweepstakes: Richmond Heights Police Blotter
A woman reported March 20 that she was the victim of a scam after receiving a phone from someone claiming she won the Publisher’s Clearing House Sweepstakes. She was told that she needed to pay takes up front and was skeptical but after receiving a photo of her winning check for $3 million, she did as requested by sending approximately $110,000 over the course of a month.

As seen in this week’s Russell Township police blotter, a motorist called police 3 p.m. March 23 when she thought she was being followed by a suspicious silver Jeep. The officer noted that the Jeep driver was merely heading home and stopped for their mail without incident. The complainant was advised.
Neighborhood girl fight results in their mothers joining the brawl: Bainbridge Township police blotter
Two women were cited March 15 for disorderly conduct after they physically fought each other in defense of their feuding daughters. Bainbridge Township police were called to a disturbance 7:20 p.m. after two neighborhood girls argued over a loose dog that belonged to one of them. The other girl was upset because she thought it might bite someone. One girl’s mother prompted her daughter to start a physical fight with the other girl. The other girl’s mother at first tried to stop them, but then got into a physical fight, herself, with the feisty mother. Someone shot a video of the altercation and gave it to the arriving officers.
