Welcome to Bob and Molly's Adventure Log

The Adventure is over! After being snowed out after 250 miles and 7 weeks we decided to stop hiking the Arizona Trail. We then purchased a classic motorcycle (1980 Honda Goldwing 1100) and drove it back to North Carolina. Check out our "trip journal" for the story of our travels.

T-shirts Sales have been most successful! We have raised over $800 all to be donated to the Arizona Trail Association.

Welcome to Bob and Molly's Arizona Trail (AZT) website. It was a dream of ours to hike the Arizona Trail, and we hiked 250 miles from December 26th to February 9, 2008. To us, Arizona is one of the most beautiful places on the planet. The 800 mile Arizona Trail meanders through Arizona’s magical canyons, mountains, deserts, and forests extending from the Utah border south to Mexico (click here for a map). The trail began as a dream of a Flagstaff schoolteacher back in 1985 and is only 57 miles short of completion.  Today the Arizona Trail Association and many volunteers continue to work to construct this trail for hikers, backpackers, mountain bikers, horseback riders, cross-country skiers, and snowshoers.

In appreciation of the Arizona Trail Association, we held a fundraiser to give a little back.  To accomplish this, we designed and sold some rockin' t-shirts, the proceeds of which went to the AZT Association. The successful fund drive raised some dough, made us feel good, and promoted awareness of the AZT and all of wild Arizona, as these natural scenic places are an essential part of our landscape.

We would like to thank those businesses and individuals that donated to the cause. Our Sponsors and Pre-sales raised about $500, all of which went to the printing of shirts. Shirt sales raised a total of $830, all of which was donated to the Arizona Trail Association.
