Polson Chamber of Commerce

The Polson Chamber of Commerce

The Polson Chamber of Commerce was founded on August 31, 1909, to serve, support, and strengthen our members by enhancing the business climate, promoting our area, and fostering community. Today, the chamber continues that goal by offering platforms for networking, community outreach, and development. The chamber has two monthly events open to the public, the General Meeting Luncheon and S.P.L.A.S.H. The luncheons occur from noon to one o’clock on the first Wednesday of every month. S.P.L.A.S.H., Support Polson Late Afternoon Social Hour, takes place on the third Thursday of every month. Locations for these events vary; please check our events calendar for details. The chamber also puts on the Fourth of July parade and fireworks, the Annual Chamber Banquet celebrating our members, and the Chamber Blast fundraiser. The Polson Chamber of Commerce welcomes all businesses and community members to join.

About Polson

Polson lies in a natural amphitheater at the south end of Flathead Lake in Northwest Montana and is located on the Flathead Indian Reservation. This charming lakeshore community is the trading center for one of Montana’s most fertile farming areas. This prime cherry-growing region is home to dozens of orchards, which Polson celebrates with its annual Cherry Festival. Polson becomes a popular summer attraction when temperatures range from 80 to 95 degrees.

The broad, sweeping Mission Valley, south of Polson, is bordered by the rugged, snow-capped Mission Mountains. At the foot of the mountains is Flathead Lake. Flathead Lake is the largest natural freshwater lake in the United States, west of the Mississippi River. Studies at the Flathead Biological Station show that water quality in Flathead Lake is among the best in the world. The Flathead River flows through Polson and features the Seli’š Ksanka Qlispe’, formerly Kerr Dam. The dam is located at the outlet of Flathead Lake in Polson.

Visitors can see large herds of bison, elk, deer, antelope, and barn sheep just south of Polson at the National Bison Range at Moiese. Bird watchers will enjoy the Ninepipes and Pablo Wildlife Refuges. Visit one of our museums, The Miracle of America, the Polson-Flathead Historical Museum, or the Peoples Center in Pablo. All offer many displays and historic memorabilia. Polson also has several city parks along the lake and the beautiful Polson Golf Course.
