How to Use the Reports in this Site

One of the focuses of this site's rehabilitation reports is for sports, athletics, and fitness. Hopefully, many of your "how long until ..." questions can be answered. And it is our goal to have answers for a wide variety of your questions that arise. And also that you feel free to add to the body of knowledge here to assist future readers.

Remember the Risks of Waiting

If you have an inguinal hernia, yes there is some advantage to waiting around, but there is also a risk. Your hernia could deteriorate into something requiring urgent attention. Specifically, it could strangulate, which puts your body's food supply (intestinal system) at risk and is an emergency. Enough patients and doctors have made mention of this risk, and their own experiences, that it must not be ignored. Especially if other things you do (weight lifting, for one) put stress on the already injured hernia area.
