Sound stages in Albuquerque New Mexico

Albuquerque Studios

Designed, developed and built by Pacifica Ventures, Albuquerque Studios was opened in June 2007.  The 366,000 sq. ft. facility boasts eight of the largest soundstages in North America plus office space, back lot space, mill, storage and set-construction space, post-production suites, and the full spectrum of production support services, all situated on a 28-acre campus setting. Under Pacifica’s management, Albuquerque Studios has hosted such major films as Marvel’s The Avengers, Disney’s The Lone Ranger, Fox’s Independence Day Resurgence, Warner’s Terminator Salvation, the Denzel Washington thriller The Book of Eli, Arnold Schwarzenegger’s The Last Stand, indy hit Sicario and its sequel Soldado, and Frank Miller’s cutting-edge, 100% green-screen production of The Spirit. On the television side, the studio was the home of all six seasons of Sony Television’s multi-Emmy-award winning series Breaking Bad, NBC series including The Night Shift (3 seasons), Midnight, Texas (2 seasons) and In Plain Sight, ABC’s Scoundrels and Killer Women, Netflix series Daybreak, and six seasons of acclaimed Breaking Bad spin-off series Better Call Saul.  On November 9th, 2018, ABQ Studios was purchased by Netflix to be the home for Netflix originals, making ABQ Studios the first real estate asset ever acquired by the giant streaming service. The sale of ABQ Studios to Netflix is a crowning achievement that has been widely recognized by the industry.
