Last week following data that pointed to a moderation in inflation and economic growth both Treasuries and US equity markets extended their recent rallies. The S&P 500 extended its weekly winning streak to four weeks ending higher by 1.5%. Outside of the developments in the Middle East it was a quiet weekend from a macro perspective. Global equities have traded modestly higher in the overnight. US futures are mixed trading on either side of unchanged. There is no economic data today calendar however, there are multiple Fed speakers on the calendar. In addition there are also a few corporate events that will get some attention including JP Morgan’s analyst day, the start Dell Technology World and Microsoft’s AI Event.
