SURVIVORS NETWORK AFRICA

SAVE A WOMAN AT A TIME, SAVE A NATION, SAVE THE WORLD.

Founder

Awah Francisca M.

SURVIVORS’ NETWORK (SN), CAMEROON, is a female led non-profit lay apolitical organization, with majority of its staffs made up of female Survivors of Human Trafficking and Modern Day Slavery. Its mission is to provide girls, women and would be victims with information, skills and services to combat Human Trafficking and associated abuses. We are committed to the fight against Human Trafficking and all forms of modern day slavery including Gender Based Violence to vulnerable populations in such as refugees, internally displaced persons in particular and the general population at large.

Impact of Survivors' Network Africa on society

One of the key impacts of Survivors’ Network Africa is the empowerment of survivors of human trafficking and modern-day slavery. By placing survivors at the forefront of its efforts, the organization has been able to provide them with the necessary support and resources to rebuild their lives and regain their dignity. This empowerment has a ripple effect on society, as survivors become advocates and agents of change in their communities.
Survivors’ Network Africa has been instrumental in raising awareness about the issue of human trafficking, sexual exploitation, and gender-based violence across Africa. Through its advocacy campaigns and educational programs, the organization has been able to educate the public, policymakers, and law enforcement agencies on the prevalence and devastating effects of these crimes. This increased awareness has led to more effective prevention efforts and improved protection for vulnerable communities.
The impact of Survivors’ Network Africa is not limited to individual survivors or communities. The organization’s advocacy efforts have led to changes in policies and practices at the local, national, and international levels. For example, SNA played a key role in the drafting and adoption of the Cameroonian anti-trafficking law in 2019. Such policy changes have a lasting impact on society, creating a safer and more just environment for all.
