Get to Know Sterling>

If you know CIS, you probably think of a person who has helped you or a student that you care about. At CIS, we're more than just programs - we are a team of caring adults, trained to do whatever it takes to keep kids coming to the classroom ready to learn.

We are the face of trusting relationships when families need food, clothing, and basic essentials. We are the face of consistency when students need someone to check-in with about stress at home. We are the face of encouragement when students need some extra help achieving their goals. We are the face of student supports across our community.

Whether you've known a face of CIS for years, or you're just finding CIS in your community today, we invite you to learn more about the people who make our organization so special.

In the 2022-2023 school year:

88%

of our students graduated from high school!

89%

of our students were promoted to the next grade!

We're building relationships through Restorative Practices.

Educators and students can benefit from utilizing restorative practices through teaching and learning social-emotional and conflict resolution skills.

Stories

Telling our stories is sometimes the best way to convey the work we do in schools.

Whether it's assisting a student with academic challenges, or stepping in during their time of need, our passionate site professionals do whatever it takes to keep students engaged in school and on the path to success.

"You graduates have immense potential within you."

-Matt Tuerk

Mayor, City of Allentown
