Our groups Robotic Surgery Programme for Colorectal Cancer is one of the busiest and highest volume programmes in India with excellent outcomes. Robotic Surgery for Rectal Cancer in particular has been revolutionary in our practice to achieve good cancer clearance outcomes, sphincter preservation (avoiding permanent bag/colostomy), lesser conversion to an open operation compared to laparoscopy due to difficulty, better functional outcomes (maintenance of sexual/urinary/motion control) and equivalent costs to laparoscopic surgery.

Piles or Haemorrhoids are one of the commonest colorectal problems patients consult with us. The problem is majority of anal problems like Anal fissure, Piles, Anal fistula have similar symptoms and worryingly Colorectal Cancer can also present with similar symptoms of rectal bleeding, anal discomfort, altered bowel habits. Patients are often confused or ignore the symptoms. Its very important that if these symptoms persist for more than 6 weeks patients should seek expert advice/consultation.
