Since opening it’s doors in 1977, heritage studio Monnow Valley has been one of the UK’s leading residential facilities, playing host to artists including Black Sabbath, Ozzy Osbourne, Sir Tom Jones, Oasis, Robert Plant, Simple Minds, Kaiser Chiefs,  Stereophonics, Manic Street Preachers, and Biffy Clyro.

Monnow Valley Studio always provides an inspirational natural environment in which to produce the finest music. Set in four hundred acres of green rolling hillside, the studio is located two miles outside of the picturesque market town of Monmouth, South Wales. However, Bristol, Cardiff and Birmingham airports are just an hours drive away with Heathrow being within two hours.

In 2020/21 Monnow Valley’s residential accommodation has been massively upgraded. We can now accommodate up to 24 people in 11 bedrooms with 10 bathrooms (7 en suite). The kitchen is all new and has doubled in size to 1000sq.ft, we have two lounges, a glass walled dining room, plus 3 acres of gardens and the beautiful River Monnow (including a mile of game fishing) on our doorstep.
