Welcome to Orenstein Physical Therapy, a progressive physical therapy practice located on the corner of 44th and France, in Southwest Minneapolis. Broad in scope, and creative in delivery, Orenstein Physical Therapy redefines the art and science of physical therapy. As the logo suggests, I step outside the box of traditional care to be a partner with you on the path to well being.

Founded by Phil Orenstein, my practice embraces the best of both traditional western medicine, and eastern philosophies of care. Phil received his professional training at the world renowned Mayo Clinic. Personally, he has been transformed by the practice of Yoga, and he has found the principles and postures of this centuries old tradition to be invaluable in his work with patients.

Hello to my Orenstein Physical Therapy friends-
I hope all of you are continuing to stay safe, staying healthy, and free from illness. I wanted to let you know that I’ve recently relocated my office space, and have moved to a lovely two story building at 4388 France Avenue South — Just one half mile north, from where I’ve been for past 14 years. My contact information has stayed the same, and I am continuing to see patients on a regular schedule. There is parking on west side of building.

Please feel free to reach out to me should you have any past or present concerns - It would be my pleasure to have an opportunity to see you. I am looking forward to this new chapter in my delivery of outpatient health care to you all.

Thanks so much.

With appreciation,
Phil

“I have received so much more than freedom and comfort in movement.  I have learned so much more than exercises I need to do to maintain my strength of body.  I have experienced soul care through dependable relationships and depthful communication.  It is not just physical therapy.  It is an avenue into the flow of being: physical being, psychological being, spiritual being. Phil and his staff are gifted beyond their training, and it is an honor to receive that gift.”

- M. McKenzie

“I first saw Phil because my feet were very slow to recover after bunion surgery. He lived up to his reputation as an intelligent, intuitive, and insightful physical therapist. He helped me develop my own path on this journey, getting both my feet back to where I want them.”

- P. Scully

“The intentionality and  care that Phil has put into his practice is truly a blessing to receive. From the very first time I met with him, I felt fully seen and cared for as if I had been seeing him for years. Phil’s moment to moment presence, attention to detail, and thoroughness makes working him a delight.

Not only has Phil helped me achieve results of feeling less pain and greater mobility, but he has taught me to embody life with health and joy, an invaluable benefit that I never could have imagined when I first stepped into his space. ”
