TRI Austin develops beneficial products and technologies as well as provides analytical testing and lab services for many industries.

Our Services

Being a small business, we are able to quickly adjust to your changing requirements. We have teamed with technology experts, commercial manufacturers, and prime contractors to solve problems and commercialize the solutions. Learn more about our teaming experience and partners.

Non Destructive Evaluation

NDE customers are often frustrated by the one-track mind set found all too often in NDE organizations which have experience in only one or two techniques and little interest in others. The customer is often left wondering if the technique being pushed is actually the best choice for the task at hand. The term “A solution looking for a problem” is all too common in the world of nondestructive testing.

Engineering

TRI Austin’s Engineering Division has over 40 years of experience in applied research and development with a comprehensive set of skills and tools for initial concept development, prototype design, analysis, and testing, with equipment to support in-house low rate production. We begin the process with a cost target and employ state-of-the-art structural and computational fluid dynamics analysis and modeling tools to develop potential solutions very quickly. Our experienced engineering teams routinely designs intelligent mechanical and electro-mechanical systems and hardware that meets DoD field use reliability and cost requirements.

Materials

TRI Austin’s Materials Division has over 40 years of experience in applied research, testing, and product development in the area of specialty polymer based materials. Our chemists formulate and synthesize new high performance materials to meet the rigorous requirements of the Department of Defense and other Government and commercial clients. Chemistry specialty areas include epoxies, polyurethanes, polyureas, polysulfides, acrylics and silicones. Common applications include coatings, adhesives, sealants, foams, gap fillers, and composite resin systems.
