About Nala’s
Nala’s Pet Sitters is an in home pet sitting and house sitting service that has been serving the Las Vegas Valley since 2001. Nala’s is licensed in Clark County and the State of Nevada. Nala’s is insured and a member of Pet Sitters Association.
Our goal is to make your pets feel like you haven’t left home and strive to keep them safe and happy and your home clean and secure. During each visit, we spend quality time with each pet and provide activities for them that you’ve noted they enjoy doing. For example: Playing with the hose, swimming in your pool, walks, fetch, brushing, massages, and lots of love. Sometimes, even a bath, ear clean or nail trim!
We understand the love and concern you have for your pets and we will update you on their well being daily while you are away.
About Nancy
Born and raised in Seattle, Nancy moved to Las Vegas in the late 80’s to pursue her career as a professional dancer on the Las Vegas strip. Her first show was at the Riviera Hotel and a couple of decades later, her final performance was at the Tropicana Hotel in the world famous, Folies Bergere!
In 2001 after a tragic accident, her dog Nala was paralyzed and became the inspiration to create a pet sitting company.
Throughout the years, I have always had a profound love for animals and often would foster and donate my time to various organizations around town.
In 2008, the housing market crashed in Las Vegas and pets were being thrown out and left behind in vacant homes, all over the Las Vegas valley. I then co-founded a not for profit 501-c-3 called Foreclosed Upon Pets. This rescue is dedicated to those left behind. FUPI’s approach to animal rescue will be a proactive alternative to animal cruelty and abandonment.
To date, both Nala’s and FUPI are still thriving and caring for animals in the Vegas Valley.

After Nala’s tragic accident, I contacted my good friend, neurosurgeon Dr. Randy Peoples. During that time in Las Vegas, there were only two options for my dog, euthanize or strap her to a board and drive her the 8.5 hours to UC Davis. I was doubtful she would survive the long journey and that I could even justify or come up with the five figures it would cost to do such an intricate and complicated spinal surgery.
To my surprise, he offered to operate on my dog at my vet’s office for free! The surgery was intensely long and literally saved my girls life! Without my dear friend Dr. Peoples’s help, I would have had to put her to sleep that day.
Not only did Nala survive, but she thrived and lived another 10 years! Without all the pieces of this puzzle coming together as they did, there would be no Nala’s Pet Sitting company. Nala was my inspiration for in home pet care.
So thank you Dr. Peoples from the bottom of my heart…and Nala’s!

We specialize in senior and disabled pets, we are trained and qualified to administer medicines, including insulin.
In addition, we also offer training sessions or training tips, which have been time tested over and over again.
We feel that a trained pet is a happy pet and more importantly a happy owner. Feel free to ask for tips or discuss behavioral matters with us.
