I am a retired computer programmer / software engineer. My two main interests are currently Science Fiction and the Dungeon and Dragons style computer game NetHack. They are both factors in my decision to put together this website.

I've been the domain holder of trantor.com for about 10 years now, and have used it solely as a permanent portable e-mail vehicle. Earlier this year, I volunteered to be the webmaster for BASFA, a local science fiction fan club. I know enough to keep the BASFA website updated, but now I want to expand my web skills and plan to use this site to do that.

I play NetHack on the nethack.alt.org public NetHack server and have recently been hanging out on the #nethack channel on irc.freenode.net. I have a dump file from the game that currently occupies the top spot on the nethack.alt.org high score list (not that I played the game; I just saved the file) that some of the other players wanted to see. This website seemed like a good way to make that file availabe to them.

I expect that other uses and interests will crop up in the future, so this site will be Under Construction for the foreseeable future.
