Regardless of the fire danger level, you MUST obtain a burn permit.
Burn Permits
To obtain a burn permit, do one of the following:

Call the fire department at 616-754-5122. If no one answers, leave your name, phone number, address, and what/when you're burning.

Who do I need to speak to about zoning or building permits?
Oakfield Township uses Professional Code Inspections (PCI) to handle all of our zoning and permits. If you would like to meet with the building inspector (Mike Ford) in person,
he is in the Oakfield Township office on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:30-10:30.
General questions can be directed to PCI at 616-877-2000.
