Myquest, 73, lives near Sacramento with his wife of 47 years, Eva. Raised in North Central Illinois, he packed in a life as a science fiction writer when his first story sale netted forty dollars' worth of pancake flour to live on. Despite the fun of
workshopping with Harlan Ellison, George RR Martin, and Gene Wolfe, he found a finance career easier to put a family budget to. Retired 19 years now, his poetry can be found alongside Ferlinghetti, Hirshman, Patti Smith, and other poets across the U.S.
My friends in Italy made this fantastic video for an unpublished poem of mine. I have been having an exciting time participating in the zoom meetings of poet maestro Beppe Costa of Roma. His performance of my poem to the musical background of Matteo Cavvichini is a deep honor.
