The purpose of this organization is to foster and promote the City and County of Yuma, sponsor events which will publicize the community of Yuma and attract attention thereto and to work in all manner and ways to make Yuma and Yuma County better places in which to live. All activities of this organization shall be non-partisan, non-political and non-sectarian.

Since our establishment in 1962, Caballeros de Yuma has played a significant role in shaping our community. What started with a humble group of 20 businessmen has now grown to nearly a hundred strong. We have witnessed the evolution of Yuma, and our events have become a hallmark of the Southwest, attracting visitors from far and wide.

Official Greeters to Yuma

Since its inception, the Caballeros de Yuma have been the official greeters of dignitaries on behalf of the City and County of Yuma, Arizona.

Creating Lasting Change

Economic Impact

In 1992 an official Economic Impact Study was conducted to determine the financial benefit of Padres Spring Training on Yuma and the finding was that from 1968-1990, the impact was over 4.5 million dollars.

Scholarships

As of today's date, the Caballeros have awarded more than a quarter of a million dollars in scholarships to local students.

Donations

As of 2016, the Caballeros had donated more than three million dollars to the community.

Hosts

Over the years, the Caballeros have hosted: The San Diego Padres 1968-1990, Yukalt Swallows 1978-1992, Southwest Senior Golf Tournament, Over-the-Line tournaments, Swim tournaments, Tennis tournaments.

Sponsorships

The Caballeros have sponsored the construction of: The Water feature at Carver Park, The Main Street Entrance Arch, The Vincent J Wolfe Park, The large flagpole at Highway Exit at Water Tower, The Caballero Field at KHS, The Canopy at Crossing Park, Numerous upgrades Ray Kroc Stadium.
