I am a community college and adult education instructor and I have taught a variety of subjects — Adobe Elements, Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, social media, Dreamweaver, PHP, and SQL. I couldn't ask for a better job! I work alongside an incredibly dedicated staff of talented people and together we get to share our experience and knowledge with the community.
My professional work experience began as a graphic designer, then on to web development, and has now evolved into a classroom instructor. I have designed a variety of projects for print and web using the latest Adobe CC software versions. I have firsthand experience in how to manage projects and deadlines and, I believe, project management has always been my strong point.
I am excited to share with you my experience with how to use new software, manage your own projects, and implement “best practices”. My goal is to continue to improve my teaching skills and share what I've learned from my personal and work experience. I hope you will join me in the classroom!
The amount of resources available to lifelong learners is just incredible — from books to video, you can certainly find a resource to fit your need. One of my favorite tools is Youtube. The variety of videos available to suit any learning style is immense. My go-to video authors are Infinite Skills, lynda.com, and Brad Hussey but I am sure that you can find many more that are just as suitable for your needs.
I often use video tutorial services such as Udemy, Code Academy, lynda.com, Khan Academy, Coursera, Adobe TV, TrainSimple, and I am always adding new subscriptions to my repertoire. Whatever resource you choose, never stop learning.
